Decorative hardware
Optional trim hardware for Model 9700 Doors recreates the look of genuine split, swing doors. Made from rust-resistant galvanized steel with black powder coating and pebble texture for the look of true hand- hammered hardware. Check with your local Wayne-Dalton outlet for further details.
Energy Efficiency
In addition to insulation, our doors have a bottom weather seal. The bottom weather seal blocks drafts and helps save energy. It remains flexible even in extreme cold to keep the bad weather outside.
Polyurethane foamed-in-place insulation
Model 9700 garage doors have an R-value of 10. The doors are manufactured with polyurethane foamed-in-place insulation using a patented process. Polyurethane insulation delivers twice the thermal performance of polysterene insulation of the same thickness! It also adds strength and rigidity to the door panels and helps dampen sound transmission.

Pinch-resistant door panels
The Wayne-Dalton pinch-resistant garage door design is engineered to help eliminate injuries caused when fingers are caught in door panel joints during downward operation. This is an important feature to Wayne-Dalton doors, as there can be significant injuries associated with standard garage door operation.
Wayne-Dalton developed the first integrated pinch-resistant door design in the industry.

Your opener uses the energy of a spring wound very tightly (called a counterbalance) to help lift your door's weight. The Wayne-Dalton TorqueMaster® is the first counterbalance to seal springs safely within a steel tube.
This design helps prevent the accidental release of tension that could cause serious injury. Plus it looks much better and cleaner
